WHAT IS USG?
The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) at Stony Brook University, as the name suggests, is a governing body representing the undergraduate students of Stony Brook University. One of our main functions is to recognize, fund and regulate student organizations. We also maintain agencies such as the Student Activities Board, which organizes concerts and other large-scale events on campus, and PASS, which provides free tutoring services for students. The USG is composed of Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches. Our main source of funding is the mandatory Student Activity Fee paid by all full-time undergraduates, which provides us with an annual budget of approximately $3 million. More information can be found on our Wikipedia page.
